Welcome to my November Side Hustle Income Report!
November was a great month for me for a few reasons! First off, I was able to increase my side hustle income and learned so much in the process. Also, I was able to spend tons of time with my daughter and family as a whole. Happy belated Thanksgiving everyone!
Last month I spent tons of time working on my website (I hope you like it!) and kept doing some freelance writing and work on my side sites.
For my website, I created a new logo, changed my theme, and switched up the layout. I created new menus and a sidebar so it is easier to navigate my site and find my most popular posts. Also, I took some time to reorganize my content in regards to categories. If you have any suggestions for how to improve the appearance of my site, please comment below!
I am pretty satisfied with my content output for November, as well. After a very productive October, I was a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to keep up the pace. Luckily, as I have continued to write more, I have gotten much faster and have been able to incorporate it into my almost-daily routine.
Anyway, let's get down to the details. Here is a quick summary of my past income reports:
Note: This income does not include my day job. This is only my side hustle income.
In November, I made:
I just barely hit my goal this month, but hey, it's still a W in my book! In November I made $271 more than October. This is a about a 20% increase. Here is how I made my money:
MPF Affiliates: $703
Other Sites: $368
As I have done previously, I will now go a little more in-depth.
In November, I made $703 in affiliate income from Millennial Personal Finance alone. The majority of this comes from Amazon affiliate offers on some of my more popular pages. Aside from Amazon, I added a new affiliate offer on top of my other few.
I am currently in the process of onboarding more offers that hopefully I can use to monetize some of my other pages. As always, if you have any suggestions, I'm all ears!
Thankfully, all of my full time clients have continued to give me work (I guess I'm not as bad at writing as I thought!). Aside from those, I have done a few extra one-time jobs, hence the slight increase from last month.
As mentioned last month, I haven't been too worried about starting new sites on the side. The 4 that I mentioned in my October income report are all still growing and making money. I did start working on a new site, but it is still in its infancy. I predict it will be at least a few months until I can start monetizing this new site.
Goals for November
- Make at least $1,600 from all side hustles combined
- Redesign MPF website
Goals for December
- Make $1,800 from all side hustles combined
- Spend at least 3 hours a week reading other personal finance blogs and commenting
- Add 2 new affiliate offers
My goal for this month is to make at least $1,800 from all of my side hustles. This might be a little difficult with the holidays but I think I'll be able to do it. My company is pretty generous with giving time off during the holidays and New Year so I think I'll be able to get a lot done during this time.
I think this goal is very dependent on my side sites continuing to grow as well as being able to better monetize MPF. Hopefully the new affiliate offers I am working on adding to my site will help out with this.
I hope to start reading and commenting on some other blogs so I can get my name out there more. I really do enjoy learning about other people's tactics and strategies to save money and this will also help me build up my following. I work really hard pumping out this content so I hope I can start getting some more response to it.
November was great month for me both personally and financially. December has been off to a great start so I hope to keep the momentum going for the end of 2016 and into 2017.
